Hi, i am a senior in high school and i got accepted into a EXCELLENT engineering college in my state for computer engineering. Studying computer engineering has been my dream since jr high. Math is my second nature, Science has been my just get an "A" and move on subject and i am a technology maniac.

My dilemma is, during my high school years attending a vocational school i have taken some advance business courses like (accounting, finance, e-commerce, business economics, retailing, marketing, etc) and with all that experience gain from high school i now have a passion for the business field and is wondering should i stick with Computer engineering only as a undergrad, try to double major in computer engineering/business or just get my B.A in computer engineering and go for a masters in business administration???

Just a curiosity, I wonder how useful an ABA + BSE is over just a BSE?

In general, everyone has told me it’s silly to do both a BBA and a BSE, and that if you want to do engineering at all, do a BSE + MBA. If you have coursework which will count towards the BBA, your situation might be different. If you’ve just got some knowledge, but no credits can be counted toward the BBA, I would say (and guess others would say) that you ought not to bother with it, get an MBA later.

BS Engineering -> Work Experience -> MBA

A Bachelors in Business Administration is next to worthless, to be honest. Get the BS in CompE and then get some experience and go back for an MBA if you are that interested in business AND engineering. Maybe take a few classes in business if they offer a minor in management or business at your school like they do some places.

what PurdueEE said. 150% agree. do what he/she says and you won’t go wrong.

if your school offers a BA in comp eng stay away, go for an abet acredited BS, BSE , BSEng etc… and do the path that PurduEE said.

Thanks everyone :). I think i might get my BEng in Computer Engineering first then go back for a MBA.
