I was wondering if you knew of any good schools with a computer engineering major that I have missed and that would preferably award good merit-based aid.

Schools I am considering:
CMU
Case Western
Rose-Hulman
University of Illinois
Northwestern
RPI
Purdue

I am ranked #1 in my class. My ACT score is a 32. Unweighted GPA: 4.0. I have taken my High School's most rigorous courses. Extra curricular's are pretty decent including band, Science Olympiad, and NHS.

I would like a few schools that I can count on giving good merit aid. Feel free to comment on the giving of scholarships from the schools on my list as well. Thanks in advance!

CMU does not award a lot of merit scholarships, and the competition is extremely stiff.

If you are not a resident of Illinois, merit awards at UI/UC are not large, and there are not a lot of them. What few they offer are very stats driven; those students I know who were awarded some merit money had almost perfect SAT scores.

Northwestern does not give any pure merit scholarships. There is one new hybrid that requires the student to be eligible for need-based.

Purdue has improved its merit scholarship picture as of this year. You should check their web sites for up-to-date information.
