Computer Engineering

Hello, I am a rising high school Senior, with a very very strong interest in computer technology. I live in a smaller town in Tennessee, and I am want to major in Computer Engineering, the obvious choice is Georgia Tech, but the cheaper choice is the University of Tennessee, which also has a pretty nice computer engineering program (or so ive heard). Im stuck in the position were I do not apply for most finical aid, but i can't afford to be sent to college either. I have very solid Extra Curricular, and a solid academic back ground. 3.5 cumulative gpa, and recently placed top 10 in the nation in FBLA's Cyber Security Competition. the only thing is i need to get a good standardized test score, the best ive gotten was a 25 on the act at the start of my jr year, but im confident with some studying I can get a 28 or 29. So any sugestions as far as schools go?

Pardon my use of this dirty phrase, but “in this economy” I’d put cost as top priority. Stick to in-state unless your family’s loaded.

Not loaded, disgustingly middle class though, to much money to get most grants, to little money to really be sent to any college.
