Computer Engineering?

There's not much info available about the comp eng. major... could someone tell me how competitive it is? Is it well regarded? What's the starting salary like? How many people major in comp eng every year?

Same question with Biomed Engineering. They both seem so appealing. <_<

For comp engineering, they don’t say much about the competition, but the fact that any UNC person can switch to the major during his/her sophmore year says that it isn’t that hard to get into (yes hypothetically it’s a little hard, but only in the retrospect of fulfilling the course requirement list). Much of the program is associated with NCSU engineering (if I were you, I would just go to NCSU for engineering is 31 whereas Duke is like 35, and UNC is like 71). UNC doesn’t really specialize in engineering (computer at the most). The links attached below can suffice for much of what I have said here. Hope this helps!
