So here's my position. I'm entering in the Fall as a SEAS student, though I'm not sure if I'll stay in it or not. Regardless, I need to buy a computer. I've been a Windows user all my life, although I have tried and liked Macs. The computer connection recommends Windows for SEAS students, although I've also heard just to get whatever is most comfortable for you.
I'm not a Mac hipster or anything, I just really don't want to have to deal with annoying firewalls and antiviruses and what not. I also want a good quality computer that is well-built and durable. I was looking at the upper end 13" macbook pro as well as similarly spec'd PCs. Does anybody have any input or recommendations as far as a computer goes?

get whichever you like better on a personal level, you’ll be fine with either (if you get the mac, just be prepared to use boot camp)
