Hi, I’m sure that this question has been asked before, but I’m a DA to Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and was wondering whether I should buy a PC or a Mac. Wanted to ask again since the old threads are from years ago and I don’t know if anything has changed regarding computer requirements at Kelley? Thanks!
There aren’t necessarily computer requirements, but I definitely have a recommendation: PC! There are plenty of people with Macs and it is definitely manageable, but most people have PCs. When you take the computers classes with a Mac, you have to use a software package (provided by IU for free) and essentially put your computer in “Windows mode”. Even then, some of the programs don’t work as well as on a PC. Thus, I recommend a PC. If you do get a Mac, there are plenty of computer labs you can use when working on projects.
