I am interested in majoring in computer science, and I was wondering about what CS course to take next semester. I plan on taking the diagnostic test to place out of cs101, but if I am not able to do that, what is the best CS 101 course to take for continuing into the major? E, X or regular 101? Thanks

if you know programming, 101 will be a breeze, if you really know programming, 201 will still be pretty straight forward. Since you're planning on testing out I assume that you know programming reasonably well. Therefore you should go with 101E, The E section essentially gets you out of labs, you still have to do the same ones as 101, but you can do them on your own time. 101X is pretty worthless in my opinion, they hardly do any programming and learning nothing of software development value.
