What's the difference between these two majors, if any?

I know Computer Science is more of the software aspect of things while the other extreme could be said to be Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering kind of in limbo in between...

So what's the difference between those and the major "Computer Science and Engineering" ?

At most of the schools I’m applying to, they have computer engineering, computer science, and computer science and engineering all listed as separate majors.

Look carefully at the required and optional courses in each major to tell the difference. The differences are likely to be very school-specific, so choose based on which course list matches your interests the best.

Computer Engineering is more of the intersection between CS and EE. I would do it if you want to see how the two fields are connected. Neither will hurt you in job or career choices.

If they list them as separate majors, it probably means that CS falls under the college of arts and sciences and CSE falls under the college of engineering. I imagine core coursework is the same (a computer science core) but the distributed requirements depend on which college the program falls under. Computer engineering is an entirely different major sharing elements of CS and EE.

I’ve always been fascinated to software’s. But my university doesn’t provide bachelor in software engineering. There are 2 majors :-Computer Science and Computer Engineering with 143 credit hours each. Which degree would be right for me so that I can follow the software engineering later in my master’s level ?

It’s generally considered bad forum etiquette to hijack threads
I believe the major you want is “Computer Science”. While it is not programming per se, it often times includes many programming related courses and prior to “Software Engineering”, was the only for people who were primarily software developers.
