Computer science and music?

I plan on majoring in computer science as an undergrad. I also want to continue with choir and orchestra, just not as a music major. I’m a part of an all-state choir and a symphony orchestra right now so I’m looking for a music program that a non-music major could join, but isn’t average/mediocre. What are some colleges with strong departments for both cs and music?

Indiana Bloomington University

Indiana Bloomington University

University of Southern Calif has the very highly regarded Thorton school of music and non music majors have the opportunity to play in many venues.

The Vertibi school of Engineering [ where the CS program is housed], is also highly regarded.

USC is ranked #25 by USNWR and is a “hot” school.

The University of Rochester is strong in both of these areas. Some LACs could be excellent for you as well.

Tufts has a strong CS program…

The music program has a partnership with the New England Conservatory, but is also very inclusive in that 2000 of the 5000 undergrads participate in music programs each year…
