I’m wondering how the CS and engineering programs at Davis compares to its other programs, like biology. Also, are those programs oriented towards agriculture and environment? I also got into Cal Poly SLO and Rensselaer Polytechnic.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am also interested in how the computer science program here is like.

CS is supposed to be good at Davis.

i will be in UC Davis in fall for computer science and engineering, ha

If you are still trying to decide a college… CS at Chico State is probably as good or better then Davis. You really have to research hard. There are some State Universities that have way outstanding degrees.

Good luck.

No idea what VentureMan is talking about. Davis has an amazing CS department. No comparison between the two.

i don’t think ventureman himself even knows what he’s talking about…

@ventureman, why do you say that CS at Chico State is just as good as or better than Davis? From the research I’ve done, Davis has a great CS department, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular. Out of the top 6 UCs (Berkeley, LA, SD, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Davis), Davis ranks the lowest, but it ranks in the top 50 CS programs worldwide in most rankings I’ve seen. I have heard that Cal Poly has a better CS program than Davis, but I’ve never heard that about Chico.
