<p>Does anyone know anything about the Computer Science program at Dickinson? How challenging is it? How large a program is it? How happy are Computer Science majors?</p>

<p>D has a friend who is a double major in math & computer science. D reports (so this is second hand) that her friend likes her classes, has a lot of friends and is happy, and participates in some kind of team that does programming competitions. The friend also works in the campus tech center. That is all the info she has. </p>
<p>You could contact a prof in the department to ask about size of the program, look at the course offerings, etc. I can say from experience (I have an Information Systems MBA, along with taking lots of computer science classes at my undergrad institution) that the professors make a HUGE difference in the quality of computer science classes. I’d suggest you look carefully at the course catalog and visit a class or two if you can. If you ask in the admissions office (e-mail them), they might be able to link you up with an e-mail penpal at the school in that major who could answer your question, too.</p>
