Is Grinnell good for a student considering a Computer Science major?
Grinnell's computer science web page ....yucks
is it the same with the classroom n teaching in grinnell?

The Grinnell college website can be deceiving.
The facilities and professors here are excellent.
The computer science dep. is very good here - and can be hard.

And how is the math department in Grinnell?

The Science and Math departments at Grinnell are very strong, and it was one of the reasons I chose Grinnell, since I'm probably majoring in biochem. The Noyce/Science Building was completed last year, so everything is new here. The thing I like best about Noyce (I'm in it right now) is that it's open 24/7, as long as you have your student card, and all the classrooms and labs are open, except for the professors' offices. Many people stay here late into the night doing research and other work.

Oh, the computer science classrooms are quite good, but I can't really tell, because they're the few rooms in Noyce that are actually locked.

I heard the language and political science departments are strong too, though for language, there is more focus on studying the classics, and for polisci, one of the best profs for it is retiring next year.

Which of the polisci profs is retiring next year? Ira Strauber, by any chance?
