I was wondering if anyone here could comment on their experience or knowledge about the Computer Science major at Hamilton. Any comments on its CS faculty, quality, range of courses, etc.?

Many students take into to computer science as an elective course in their schedule - they are more difficult than they seem. Computer science majors (I am not one) take it very seriously and laud the department with high praise. I know a few comp sci majors who have gone on to work for facebook, apple, google, etc. Like anything else, it is what you make of it but the resources certainly exist for a motivated student to excel.

Have a look at these links:

One of my good friends is a comp sci major and absolutely adores it. I’ve never had any personal interaction with the faculty, but I do know that when the sophomores declare their concentration all of the comp sci kids are invited to one of the professors’ houses for dinner.

I’ve seen the classroom where almost all of the basic classes are held- it’s very nice!
