I'm an international student and I'm planning to apply to Ithaca College. I want to pursue B.S in CS there, so I wanted to know how strong their CS department is. From their website, it looks good. The courses are good, and I plan to minor in their game development or computing tech course, but does anybody know how good it is? Alumni, current students?

Thanks a lot, ucbalumnus! It’s really awesome that you take the time to do research and then answer(I’ve seen your previous posts. You also sent me some FA help once.) :-)

Yes, that’s true. But I’m using the recommended courses you had given in a post in some other thread as a measure of how good a CS program is. And Ithaca’s CS program seems to haves almost all those courses. The reason I like Ithaca is because of the courses they offer in robotics and game development, and also the provision to take classes at Cornell(but of course, there’s the 4-credit-per-sem-and-max-16-credits limitation, as you said.) of course, there are other colleges with better robotics and game dev programs I’m applying to, but Ithaca is just a safety.

Be careful. Ithaca sees “level of applicant’s interest” as “important”. They probably do not like the idea of being a safety (i.e. you might get rejected or waitlisted if you do not show sufficient interest).
