Computer Science at JHU

I'm looking for any insight that could be given to me concerning Johns Hopkins' Computer Science program. I'm debating on what college to choose and I'm leaning towards NU for the overall experience I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on the CS program there.

Thank you

I know a few CS people. The department is relatively small, but from what I’ve heard it is very good. I’m in intro to java right now which is the first CS class. I don’t really like the class very much, but that’s more because I just dislike programming.

The people I knew in the CS program seemed to love it. The student chapter of ACM was active and the graduates I know got into good grad programs or got good job offers.

Take a look at these two posts on CS: [Academics Blog Computer Science *](http://blogs.hopkins-interactive.com/academics/category/computer-science/)
And read some previously asked questions, and ask a current CS major at [Computer Science](http://www.hopkins-interactive.com/forums/major-specific-questions/computer-science-321/)

Actually one of my best friends sons is a recent CS graduate now working for Amazon at a very generous starting salary.

You may want to contact JHUNick via Hopkins Interactive. He is a sophomore computer science / economics double major and can provide you details about courses, faculty, resources, and opportunities provided to CS students at Hopkins: [Meet JHU_Nick - Woodbridge, CT](http://www.hopkins-interactive.com/forums/meet-the-class-of-2014/meet-jhu</a></em>nick-woodbridge-ct/)
