Does anyone know anything about the Computer Science program at Lafayette? How large is it? Are the students generally happy with the program? Is it considered a challenging program?

Thank you

Thank you

Ironically, I asked this question exactly two months ago. Good luck with getting an answer ;)

I’m a current student and I’m an AB major, so I don’t know a ton about the computer science program. I do have a few friends in CS, so I can tell you a thing or two. From what I know, it’s a small department, but the students and professors are very dedicated and bright. The students appear to be close-knit and seem to enjoy their work, and there are ample opportunities for research. It appears to be challenging as well. If you were accepted and still interested in CS, I’d sign up for the introductory course (CS102: Principles of Computer Science I) your first semester. Hope this info helps!

@WaWaPard: Thank you, this information was really helpful. :)

@Mare_Crisium: Glad to help! Here’s a link to the Laf CS website: [Department of Computer Science – Home](http://www.cs.lafayette.edu/). One of my friends who is a CS major actually did a good deal of work on the website, so it goes to show the sort of hands-on experience students can get!

Yes thanks so much WaWaPard! That information helps alot!
