I'm currently trying to decide whether I'm going to Stanford or MIT. I plan on majoring in computer science. I've tried looking on MIT's website for information about the undergraduate program, (specifically Course 6-3), but aside from the curriculum (MIT EECS - New Curriculum 6-3: Computer Science and Engineering), I haven't found much. What is it that makes MIT have such a strong CS program?

[Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT](http://www.rle.mit.edu)

These are just two of the places that you could do undergraduate research. There are also a lot of cool projects in the Media Lab ([MIT Media Lab](http://www.media.mit.edu)). I don’t really know how Stanford’s labs are organized, but all of these world-famous labs are also about a 5 minute walk from my dorm and have accepted first-semester freshmen as UROPs.
