I was accepted to NYU through the heop program for Comp sci. I was also accepted at Stevens Institute of Technology, Polytechnic University, NYIT, and Rensselaer. While I realize that NYU has the bigger and more prestigious name of all the schools i listed, im not too sure NYU has that great of a computer science program. The other universities, Stevens and Polytechnic, are more engineering and technology oriented. The most perplexing question would then be, should i attend NYU or the other three schools i mentioned? I should be getting a pretty generous financial aid package at NYU because of HEOP so costs aren't really a concern here. Does anyone know how NYU's comp sci program is and where does it rank in comparison to the other schools i named?

Can i get more thoughts on this? Are there any current NYU computer science students on this board? How does their undergrad program compare to that of other schools like Stevens and Polytechnic University?

its a no good excuse for a university. .... the courses suck, and most of the teachers suck ... most of all the administration sucks and they dont care about you ... only about their wallet ....

every friggin person got into NYIT with a scholarship ... their rip offs ... stretch the price and give scholarships to get more students in ...

do the NYU/Stevens engineering program with computer science and some engineering major (i.e. computer engineering). you should contact the president of the engineering society if you're thinking about it... he's rsk288@nyu.edu

RoKlein: I heard that the combined 5 year degree with NYU and Stevens is a ton of work like 200 credits in 5 years. I personally don't think i will be able to handle that. Are you a current student of the program? If so, what do you think of the workload?

Also, is there anyone on this board that majors in computer science at NYU?
