Pomona website states that "Pomona's CS department collaborates closely with the Harvey Mudd College CS Department", what does this mean?

With the Five college consortium, you can already take courses at Mudd; So the collaboration between the two CS departments goes beyond course cross registration?

On Pomona CS website, I can't find information about students research opportunities, so how easy it is for Pomona CS student to do summer research at Mudd?

Thank you, SoCalDad2.
As a Pomona CS student, can you take as much courses as you want at Mudd, without the 5C consortium limitation of 1 or 2 classes per term?
Would you be treated equally as Mudd students, regarding to research opportunity at Mudd?

I’m not even sure that limit is a real thing. I haven’t heard about it since freshman year, and only one of my four classes this semester was at Pomona.

Update: It looks like non-Mudd students are going to be more limited from taking classes at Mudd. That’s just the registrar putting limits on the classes.

If a Pomona student wanted to minor in comp sci, would he/she take the majority of his/her compsci classes at Harvey Mudd, or does Pomona have enough of compsci classes for a minor? I would like to minor in compsci, but I don’t think that my compsci skills would be even comparable to the level of talent that you would find in Mudd’s classes. Any current students wanna chime in? thx

The quality of CS classes at both places are comparable. Currently, Mudd has blocked any non Mudd student from taking their intro CS class, so I’m not sure if they’re changing their policy. At both Pomona and Mudd, there are too many CS majors/prospectives for the amount of teachers and classes (due to a huge spike in the last two years), so I’d keep that in mind.
