I'm thinking of starting a computer science club/programming club at my school, and I already have a teacher who's willing to be a sponsor. I know Java, HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but I'm not that sure what our club is going to do. There's already a class that manages the school website, so that's out. And I know one or two people may want to enter the USA Computing Olympiad or ACSL, but most of the people I talked into joining just want to have fun programming. Any ideas?

I was in the nearly the same situation not too long ago, but I didn’t know anyone who shared my programming interests, so after some thought I started the organization Tech Wings. The organization serves to get together groups of students and enthusiasts with skills in computer technology and to help non profits and struggling businesses. Members get real-life experience, the chance to learn languages and skills they don’t already know, and businesses/non-profits benefit from the free service and new attention they get.

So far the venture has been lead by myself alone. The website is here: [Tech Wings](http://tech.pixelmanialabs.com/)
The design and domain are temporary for the time being, but the main structure of the site I expect to stay about the same. I’m completely done with the visitor front end, and the officially pen-tested login system, so I’m now coding and designing the backend that will allow developers to communicate, manage, and complete client projects.
The projects we would work on for businesses/non-profits would mostly be websites, but would also include app development, desktop development and tech support.
Part of the structure of the organization includes groups of people getting together to collaborate in the real world, which you could have be a club, but most of the interaction will be online through the website.

I’m kind of throwing this all on you, but I have yet to find another person interested in programming that has the drive and leadership you do. I’ll really enjoy if you could help get it running.

A bit about me: I know Java, VB, PHP, HTML, AS3 JS, JQuery, AJAX, XML, CSS, MySQL, website development, various 3d development areas(although not in incredible depth), game development(desktop/android), android app development, desktop application development and general computer skills of course. I used to work at a website management platform business, where I coded for sites such as the one for Top Chef.
