So I got my acceptance letter for UConn and it said i was accepted as a Computer Science and Engineering Major. I honestly thought I hit Computer Engineering for my major but might of made a mistake. I was thinking bout switching to computer engineering but I wanted to see if anyone can tell me what the Computer Science and Engineering Major is and how it differs from Computer Engineering. I looked at the site for the majors but was wondering if someone could help me better understand this concept. Thanks in Advance.

Sad to see that nobody has responded to this in such a long time. I got accepted through the same program and had an opportunity to visit recently and talk about it.

At UConn they have computer science, computer hardware engineering, and computer science and engineering. Computer science is purely programming, computer hardware is purely creating the hardware and computer science and engineering is basically a hybrid. The three of them are pretty similar so the trasition between them if you find yourself not liking one probably wouldn’t be too hard but thats basically the general idea.
