Computer Science: Engineering or Arts&Sciences?

I was wondering wether or not one would have a better chance of getting into Cornell for computer science if one applied to Arts&Sciences rather than Engineering which I’d assume is the more competitive school of the two

Bump

I think a better question would be which school best suits you. The requirements for each school are very different and are worth looking at.

Also, no need to “bump” a post less than an hour after you wrote it.

@Ranza123‌ Their computer science courses are the same which is the part that I care most about. Also, you didn’t answer the question

Yes, the CS courses are the same, but you won’t be taking solely computer science courses. Nobody here is an admissions officer; we can’t tell you which college you have a better chance at.

CS courses are the same, but school requirements are not. COE requires much more math and science courses than CAS which requires more humanities. It’ll be easier to get into the one for which you’re a better fit.

I chose CAS because in case I wanted to switch from CS I wanted majors that I like to choose from and I actually did switch from CS to IS

Also CAS gives a BA whereas COE gives a BS. That made the difference for me.
