<p>I'm considering taking computer science. But my parents eagerly want me to go to caltech. Thus I am curious about caltch's computer science major, comparing to UCLA/UCI's computer science department, which is better/worthy?</p>
<p>here is my concern:
1. quality of course(class size, professor, etc.)
2. cost
3. difficulty
etc.</p>
<p>Caltech is on a whole different level, some of the most brilliant people on earth. Sure UCLA is a good school, but UCI can't be uttered in the same breath!!</p>

<p>UCLA Computer Science majors used to complete the notoriously difficult CS 111 course at UCI to boost their GPAs before it was outlawed by UCLA. Take from that what you will. :rolleyes:</p>
