Computer Science / Linguistics ofr a non-superstar applicant

EDIT: it's supposed to be "for" in the title, not "ofr". Oh well.

Hello all,

I am planning on double majoring if possible (if not, majoring in one and getting some sort of minor or concentration in the other) in Computer Science and Linguistics.

I don't really have stellar statistics: I got mostly Bs (taking as many honors classes as possible) in my frenshman and sophomore year, and As in French. I am currently spending my junior year in France and getting what my high school back home considers to be equivalent to mostly As (except in French, where I have a B... can you really blame me for not being perfect in that class when I'm not even a native speaker of the language?) I plan to buckle down and get straight As in all AP classes my senior year, which, knowing my own abilities, is definitely possible.

As for extracurricular activities, I don't have much, I was on a few clubs etc. but nothing really spectacular, except for the fact that I spent a year in France and speak French which is kind of unique.

In your opinion, will it be possible for me to get into a "solid" school to study those subjects? Does anyone have any recommendations?

EDIT 2: By the way, I have no problem going to schools in Canada or in a French-speaking country, if you've got any ideas of that nature...

bump........

...consider Stony Brook. They have both CS and linguistics. They offer a program in computational linguistics.

What do you think about French universities?

Thanks for the ideas. Also, do you guys think I could get into the University of Washington with these stats? I don't think I can but it might be possible, IDK.
