Computer Science LSA vs CoE

<p>I asked this question before I got accepted I think. But anyway, I officially enrolled #goblue and would like to know what exactly I should be doing... I aspire to do computer science in LSA, but my dad thinks that the prestige and employment opportunities in computer science through CoE are far superior. (he's an engineer...) I'm mainly considered in the latter though. Is a computer scientist from LSA and from CoE going to be treated the same by employers? Or will they favor CoE computer scientists? Orientation is coming up soon, and I'm not sure if I should sign up for classes that promote a LSA path or one that is directed towards a transfer to the college of engineering. So what should I do? Any facts/opinions/ideas would help!! </p>

There is little difference in the employment between the two. There are some differences between LSA and CoE that may apply to the CS majors too like elective requirements (e.g. language requirement for LSA), tuition (higher for engineering), printing quota (more for engineering), etc. </p>
