Computer Science Major (Which is more important Major Classes or IGETC)

I’m currently a student at a community college student. I have 2 semester left before I submit my application for this upcoming fall 2017. I finish almost all of my major classes that are general to all of UC.

  • I have yet to start Physics
  • I want to get into ucsd but they are asking me to take bio and chem (Which I have yet to start)
-I heard that you should atleast finish your igetc
I find it problematic to finish all of them with 2 semester.
    I think its possible to

-Finish 2 physic classes out of the 3 they request and do a chem class and start my bio class
which mean I would be missing (1 physic, 1 bio, and 1 chem class)

  • Or I can finish my Igetc but probably only do chem and bio or physic
which mean I would be missing (3 physic class or 2 chem and 1 bio class)

I don’t know what is more reasonable.
I know that I can finish all of the classes before I transfer to the university, problem is they only look at my transcript til my fall.

Major courses most important - but if you are applying to Berkeley L&S and choose IGETC, you must complete it by spring or won’t get in.
