computer science major

I am applying ucsc transfer application for fall 2016, and my major is computer science. But I don’t how good cs in ucsc is. So everyone give me commons if you know about computer science program in ucsc. Thanks!

CS is very good at UCSC. Admission is more competitive than many believe. I’d suggest you use TAG to lock down you spot. You still have a few days to complete your TAG.

Thanks for telling me. I want to know more specific information about cs program. Do professors teach well? Are you also a transfer student, or you are in ucsc now? Do you know how life in ucsc is? Does ucsc has farmer market, safeway, costco, or other any food shops?

For TAG
Major:computer science
all uc transferable GPA: 3.20
major preparation GPA:3.23
major course: will done by spring 2016
IGETC: may not done by spring 2016
Do you think my GPA can be accepted by ucsc tag?

The city of Santa Cruz has about 60k residents. There’s no shortage of shopping or sources for your produce.

Tour the campus and talk to some students and teachers …

I’m a (freshman) computer science major. Computer science is one of the best majors at UCSC, partly because of the proximity to Silicon Valley. I literally just got back from a UCSC engineering internship fair with bay area companies like HP and Micron scouting out UCSC students. I’m involved in tech clubs that exist solely to network and visit companies in the Silicon Valley.

UCSC’s proximity to the Silicon Valley is a huge benefit. I can’t tell you much about the CS classes themselves though, because I’m only a freshman (check rate my professors)

When I searched about cs department online, I found out there are companies collaborating with ucsc cs department. Does it mean ucsc students are easier to get internship and permanent jobs than other school’s students?
