Computer Science or Computer Engineering?

Well, I'm getting ready to go to college in 2011 and I've narrowed down my major choices to Computer Science and Computer Engineering. I've sort of planned on engineering, but that's just because it's been suggested by parents and such. From what I've gathered, engineers work on the more "physical" aspects of computers and networks...I've heard they do program, but not as much as CS does. In CS, I've heard it is pretty much strictly programming. I like to program, but I don't know if I would enjoy engineering. I've also heard that the average salary for both is similar. Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated. I'd like to get this figured out and I figured you guys would be the people to ask!

P.S.: Use the search feature on this site on this same topic

Thanks,

I am also going to reference this.

I will ask the mod to change the link thread later, instead :)

Chocolate Mint I tell you!

Cake batter!!!

Here’s what I have read/garnered:

CmpE: 50% Hardware / 50% Software
CS: 0% Hardware / 100% Software

Now obviously those are exaggerated numbers, but just don’t basically expect a large amount of hardware stuff as a CompSci major.
