How strong/good is the computer science program at BC? Are there many people majoring in compsci there?
Honestly, BC’s STEM offerings are mediocre/nothing special.
Depending on which state you are a resident of, your in-state option is probably MUCH better. Places like UMichigan, Illinois, Georgia Tech have top notch Comp Sci programs and are recruited by all the top tech companies on campus. I think it would be a mistake to attend BC to pursue a science-related degree, and pay more in tuition, if those options are open.

Help us understand your assertion. Are you saying it because “You read it on the internet”, or because you can point all of us to a creditable source of information?
Thank you.
@jpm50 I work in the tech industry and am familar with the schools where top tech companies recruit CS grads. BC is off the radar pretty much, and I would note would cost several times as much more than the schools I listed. I stand by my assertion that BC’s CS program isn’t distinguished. But hey, if you want to spend 30K more a year for a lesser program go for it.
But perhaps I am mistaken outside of CS… Please show me the STEM areas where BC leads the field. Is it Biology? engineering?
@WildestDream, could you please list your sources for your statement that BC’s STEM offerings are mediocre/nothing special at best? STEM covers a broad spectrum.-and BC doesn’t offer engineering. I was of the opinion that BC has excellent math and science departments. I know from our own experiences that BC prepares very well for those pursuing medical and graduate school. As for math, I only know what I have read http://bcm.bc.edu/issues/summer_2015/features/the-new-math.html
