I'm curious if anyone has the US News and World Reports ranking of the top 20 Computer Science programs? Thanks for your help.

I do not have the ranking with me, but here's an estimate:

There is a 4-way tie for #1:

Cal-Berkeley
Carnegie Mellon
MIT
Stanford

The next 6 are, I think...
Cornell University
University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign
University of Washington-Seattle
University of Texas-Austin
Princeton University
University of Wisconsin-Madison

The next 10 or so are (in alphabetical order):
Brown
CalTech
Columbia
Harvard
Maryland-College Park
Michigan-Ann Arbor
NYU
Penn
Rice
UCLA
USC
UMass

Alexandre: Thank you so much for your help.

Don't mention it. I will give you the exact ranking when I get the chance to look over my magazine.

Man...man I good or what! LOL I guessed almost right!

Alexandre: It certainly does explain why the owners of College Confidential made you a Moderator!

"Alexandre: It certainly does explain why the owners of College Confidential made you a Moderator!"

I personally think it is unethical for a moderator, with a clear bias, to be posting so vigorously. in most threads, he is either pushing University-of-Michigan-Ann-Arbor directly, or else comparing it to Ivy league schools as if to say that it is a "Public Ivy". He seems to always find a way to tout the merits of University-of-Michigan-Ann-Arbor in some form...Imagine if other moderators were to do the same thing, but for their respective schools!!

Is this a new ranking or the one they did in 2002? They did that one and stopped and I was wondering if they picked it up again. Note that I either not interested enough to buy a copy or maybe just too cheap. :D

This is the ranking from 2002, which is the last time they ranked CS programs.

Thanks....
