Hi! Just wanted to jump on here because my D23 is a CS girl in current college search mode and I it sounds like our daughters have some similarities, so I figured I’d share some of her choices. Inclusivity is important to my D (her older sister, my D17 mentioned below, is LGBTQ) so she has taken that into account in her search. D23 is also non-neurotypical, so that has been factored in as well!
Several people have already mentioned WPI, Pitt, and RIT and my D23 is applying to all three of those schools. For tech schools, both WPI and RIT have a very collaborative reputation. WPI even has an extra scholarship fund available to girls who have been active in fighting sexism in STEM (my D wrote about her efforts in her “why WPI” essay, she gets some of it!)
Additionally, my older D17 had a great experience at Hamilton (she graduated in '21 with a double major in math & geoscience but had several friends who were CS majors) and her runner up college was Smith - so I would also put in a word for both of those schools which have been mentioned up-thread.
Hey, here’s hoping that between girls like ours and @chrisntine 's the CS world will start changing for the better!
