Computer Science Schools w/ My Stats

Looking for computer science schools that will be match, reach and safeties for me. Particularly interested in the match and safeties since I know most reaches. I've put (what I think) my hooks are in CAPS.

Academics:

Member of Varsity Swim Team
HISPANIC DESCENT
NO FINANCIAL AID NEEDED
3 letters of recommendation (math teacher, club advisor, guidance counselor)

AP Courses Taken:
Biology
Computer Science AB
Economics

Thank you.

GPA Breakdown:
Freshman: 3.5
Sophomore: 3.5
Junior: 3.7

Privates: Rose Hulman, RPI, Case Western, Bucknell, Lehigh

Publics: your local state university, VA Tech, Purdue, Co School of Mines

In CA I would recommend San Jose State as a match and a good choice.

Thanks. Would the privates you listed be considered matches?

Yes, or maybe low reaches. Your SAT needs to be about 150 points higher for Bucknell and Lehigh, but the hooks might help with that.

Other than Purdue and VA Tech, can anyone recommend some safety schools?

Since money isn’t a concern and you’re Hispanic…I think Santa Clara would love you…and great for CS majors.

Good luck

Are you going to test again? you should…and take the ACT as well …you may do better on it.

What is your state?

I’d check out UMass and SUNY Stony Brook.

The OP’s info says that he’s from Connecticut.

What is your math SAT? I think it matters a lot if your intended major is computer science.

Recirculating this thread to see if anyone else will respond.

Did you see CRD’s question about your math SAT score?

math sat was a 650.
