Computer science: SJSU or community college?

Hi, I'm currently a high school senior with a 3.06 and 1960 SAT. My low GPA/SAT were caused by laziness and poor time management, so I know I have the capability of being successful in higher-tiered schools like the UCs.

The question is, I was admitted into SJSU for computer science. State schools are facing big budget cuts and aren't as well regarded as other institutions, which leads to questioning about whether it's worth it.

Would doing community college for two years and either tagging to a UC or attending another school be a better option that attending a CSU?

SJSU is great for CS, go there, do not go to a CC

Any decent CS major (including at SJSU) will require you to have good time management and not be lazy in doing your CS assignments and projects.

Go to SJSU…excellent for what you want.

And get your fanny to a therapist and have him/her determine if you have ADHD or something else that is hindering your time management issues.

@mom2collegekids thanks for the reply! It’s more of study habits than mental issues lol
