Computer Science/Software Engineering

I am going to be entering my junior year this fall so I am actively beginning the college search process. I need some suggestions on schools to look into. I plan on majoring in computer science/software engineering and I really enjoy playing my trumpet in Jazz band so I would like to find a school in the Midwest that both of these interests could compliment each other nicely. My folk’s make just enough money that I doubt need-based aid will be there so if you can suggest schools that have a strong, solid educational program plus generous merit aide that would be greatly appreciated. Rose Hulman, UIUC & Carleton are three that I would like to attend but financially may be outside of my reach. I prefer to go to a smaller/medium sized school but not at the expense of a solid education.

Good place to start.

Thanks Kyledavid80 but someone out there that has personal experience should be able to tell me of some schools that have a good program - I can find listings of schools who offer the degree that I am going for but I want to know for the midwest the ones that have a higher ranking of a good program. Thanks
