Computer Science Trama

Is CS really as hard as everyone claims it to be? Ex or current CS students, I'd like to know your opinions.

if you’re only going into for the job prospects/pay, then yeah, any major is.

lol. hard is really relative, dude. About where do you stand relative to other kids in your math class? Have you taken any APs in logic-based courses? That should give you a good indicator.

CS isn’t too bad, really. If you enjoy it (programming, math, logic, and computers) you should be alright.

you’ll prob. be more traumatized by your fellow CS classmates hygienic habits

and competitive habits from what i’ve heard.

outright horror stories, actually o_o

Its not too bad. Its hard at times, but overall its not as bad as most claim. No major is all that hard, as long as you are willing to work. CS tends to take a bit more work then most other engineering curriculum’s solely because the material is almost all project based. Many other engineering curriculum’s do have many projects, but many classes are plug and chug math style classes and some are a mix.

The hardest part of CS for me was all of the math.

You also need to prepare you yourself for 8+ hours a day sitting down…back pain galore; The eye strain isn’t all that great either.
