Computer Science transfer from SMC to UCI

So I'm on my third year attending Santa Monica Community College on a part-time basis due to the matter that I must work. It has been a long and bumpy ride and now Im a few unit away from transferring. My main choice is UC Irvine. What should I expect upon transferring in terms of the way students carry themselves to how classes are conducted. I also feel that I have a minimal grasp for computers, I have done well in my classes. However, when I talk to grad students I must admit I feel ignorant. Have I not been prepared correctly by my school? Or what can I do to help me suceed once I transfer?

I am very much confused and almost half scared, so any advice or insight would be helpful.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Computer science is a funny major in that you can learn almost everything online on your own, without college. As long as you're good at googling, you should be fine.

totakeke: You are aware that computer science is more than just programming right?
