I'm currently making a plan for transferring and had a question about pre-requisites.

Does every single pre-requisite have to be done by the Fall semester that I apply? I ask because I know some majors such as Berkeley's school of business require that your pre-reqs be done by the Spring semester BEFORE you apply. Does this apply to Computer Science?

Here’s what I’ve heard: Computer Science at Berkeley is not as competitive as admission to the Haas School of Business, but they are still significantly more competitive than some of the other majors there. So, even though they require you to complete all of your pre-reqs by the Spring prior to enrollment, it is to your best advantage to have MOST of them completed by the prior fall. Of course, you do not have to complete EVERY SINGLE one by then.

All I know is CS majors make a crap load of money compared to most majors at Cal. They stated on the survey they made like mid 60s or 70’s. Way better then the 50k for business lol.

^ that’s just undergraduate degrees though. Most business majors end up going to Business school.

Are we talking Letters and Science CS? My understanding is that it’s not super important to do their recommended classes (but you should get the pre-requisites), since they say explicitly that whatever you take probably won’t transfer cleanly and you’ll have to take it again.

For EECS, I assume it’s very important.
