I have been accepted to both, but I am having a hard time deciding.

Don't base it on the school itself, but on the Computer Science program. Thank you.

All I can say is that I know UCF's comp. sci. program is really good. But you won't find anyone who can tell you about both since without attending the school you can't really tell.

After a long thought process and a thorough comparisson on the two schools I pick UCF. I should have trusted my instinct in the first place. UCF is for me.

I'm sure you're going to have a great experience at UCF. Go Knights!

FYI: The UF program is ranked 37th overall in the USA, whereas the UCF program is not ranked at all. Just something to think about.

Like I said before SSobick, the ratings tell me nothing. There is no valid information behind those numbers that will help me in anyway to make a decision.

Also, I like that UCF is in Orlando, because I will be able to receive internships and job opportunities in the Orlando area-- which would be rather difficult in Gainesville.
I appreciate the input though. The more information, the better.

Thanks mom2three!

If you want to work in Orlando it's a good option. UF has the name recognition to provide employment throughout the United States. BTW: FSU has a more established brand-name in comparison to UCF. It's going to take decades for people outside of Florida to think of UCF, USF, FIU, and FAU as more than anything than a Commuter School (fair or not, it just takes time for perceptions to change).

Congratulations on making your decision, Jess! :) Make sure to go apply for housing, Honors and LEAD Scholars soon so you can make the most out of your experience at UCF. Best of luck to you.
