Could not find a recent thread looking at these 2 schools. Appears Maryland has a bit more to offer, but Delaware also very well organized and multiple tracks. Anyone with any first hand knowledge of these programs? Thoughts?
@CDK Umd Computer Science program is the 15th best in the nation. As of right now it is ranked above Harvard.

While the computer science classes may be similar at the two schools, one big difference is the college they are based in. The computer science program at Delaware is in the college of engineering (see http://www.cis.udel.edu/ ). At UMD, Computer Science is in the college of Computer, Mathematics and Natural Sciences (see https://www.cs.umd.edu ). While the computer science classes at the two schools are probably similar, all the other mandatory class requirements tend to be much different depending on being in a college of engineering vs. being in a college of natural sciences.
Also, fyi, Maryland has both computer science (in CMNS school) and computer engineering (in engineering school).
