I like finance but I’m worried that my job isn’t that stable if there is a recession.
I could do coding and stuff but it seems boring to me but safe.
What should I do ?
Go business. You can still work in high tech with a business degree. If your already bored with coding, you will be absolutely outclassed by world class programmers which are prevalent here in Silicon Valley. I"m in Networking, and we only higher coders with Masters Degrees in EE or CS. Sure coding pays extremely well, but the majority of the people doing it are extremely proficient at it, and absolutely love it.
IT departments have cutbacks, too. If coding is boring to you, your skills might be weak and you could be the first one out the door in a downsizing. Choose a major that you’re truly interested in and work at it. You’re more likely to become valuable to a company when you have a passion/interest for your job.
