Computer Science vs Computer Engineering?

1) Which major is more difficult?

2) Which major has more variety when it comes to looking for jobs?

3) Which major has a better job outlook?

4) Is it true that these majors always have trouble looking for jobs upon graduation due to the competitions out in the market?

5) If my GPA is high(as in like idk..3.5+?), would my chances of getting a job increase?

6) This is off-topic, I wanna minor in business just in case CS/CompE(whichever one i choose) happens to have a bad job outlook. Smart idea?

Thanks for helping!!

The difference between the majors, if any, is very school dependent. In some cases, but not always, CS is more focused on software while CE is more focused on hardware.

As far as “business” courses go, courses in math, statistics, economics, and finance may be a better supplement, since they can allow for (well paid compared to generic business) actuarial or quantitative finance job and career options.

Thanks!! I just don’t know what to choose right now. I’m still researching more on hardware vs software.

I think I’m leaning towards CS right now. Does CS major have many positions? Like what do they usually work as when they graduate? They’re part of engineers right? Do they work as computer software engineers? If so, are there more positions to it other than just software engineers? Thanks!!
