Computer Science vs Computer Engineering

Thoughts? Any BTDT? We are comparing the course curriculum. My son prefers the programming, so we are leaning towards CS.

20 years ago when I was a computer engineering major I would have told you that conputer science was a liberal arts degree with only half the course work in your major whereas computer engineer was an engineering degree with 3/4 of course hours in your major. That is no longer the case, both have the same GEP minimums with very similar pre reqs. So I am personal bias toward engineering. I think the classes provide a better life basis toward general problem solving. I also think engineers are more generally employeable as “engineers” first even between fields. That said both are good programs and I would be comfortable with my kids in either.
