computer science vs mechanical engineer; which is harder?

how difficult is computer science?

Easier than a business major.

it depends

I can’t tell if NeoDymium is being sarcastic or not, but if he isn’t, I have to disagree. CS is challenging in different ways than MechE. MechE focuses on a completely different type of math than CS. With CS you mainly work with discrete math, which is something you don’t use at all in MechE.

It depends on the person really. For me, MechE would be a lot harder than CS because I am not that great at the higher level math that you need to be comfortable with for MechE. On the other hand, CS is something that I can do well with because it’s more about logic and algorithms than pure mathematics.

You need to think about it in terms of what you are good at.

I’d say about the same.

For me CS would be harder because i don’t know a lot about computers/software/coding. (and i’m a Mech.E major)

To sum it up, it depends on your strengths. Figure out what those are, and you’ll have your answer. /guru
