I want to go into CS but I have absolutely no CS background. I'm a clean slate. I like the idea of CS and I've been interested in it for a very long time. Will that put me behind and affect my grades as a CS major(I haven't declared anything...)?

Also, I'm not good at math. Is math a large part of CS?

Math is a decent portion of a CS major. I was intending to be a CS major until I signed up for a discrete mathematics course which scared the crap out of me and I dropped it after the first class because I had no idea what the professor was talking about. I'm just a freshman though, what do I know.

I'm in the same boat as you - I only took one CS course, C++, in 9th grade - and I don't remember much, if any, at all. Will this somehow come back to bite me in the a$$ or are there some courses for beginners or to help you catch up?
