What is the best computer for a computer science major?i was think about buying a Mac but I am really confuse!help

There is no “best computer” for CS majors… you can develop on any computer.

I know but which one is easy and quick to use!i am only in high school I use c++ and java!

Why were you thinking of buying an Apple laptop?
There are better built machines for the price especially after discounts/coupons.

Having an Apple laptop is not going to make programming easier in general.

If you want a laptop to do serious work I’d recommend a professional class workstation.

Some recommendations : lenovo ThinkPad W530 , Dell Precision M4700 , HP EliteBook 8570w Mobile Workstation

I was think about a Mac because everybody told me it would last longer the PCs!

del_psi’s suggestion for a ThinkPad W520 is great, but I wouldn’t recommend a Dell or even HP’s professional line including the ProBooks and EliteBooks. A Mac is also a reliable option.
Computers are computers, but Macs will “last longer” in the sense that they will keep their value for much longer.
I myself prefer Macs, but either is fine. Just make sure if you get a Mac to have a Windows VM setup.

Why would anyone, especially someone interested in CS want a computer that ‘lasts long’? Computers progress at an incredible rate. You’re far better off buying a decent but cheap computer that lasts you 3-5 years, and then replacing it.
