Computer Science

So I submitted my EA Application, and I put my major as Communications (It's what I've wanted to do for the longest time), however, I'm currently taking a computer science course and love it. I'm not sure if I would want to major in it, but if I did choose to change majors, would it be hard at Northeastern, considering those majors are in two different colleges?

Thanks!

Not necessarily. When you’re accepted, your admitted student portal has an option to request a major change. For most majors, this is quite easy and you shouldn’t have a problem. For a few specific ones (engineering and nursing, I think, as examples) you might have to take certain pre-reqs and maintain a certain GPA to enter the program, but I think it shouldn’t be a problem with CS. There was a thread on the Northeastern forum last year about someone who changed their major after being accepted and they didn’t have a problem. (I don’t remember the major, though. Might try doing a quick search.)

That’s a relief! Thanks for the help
