<p>Carnegie Mellon, MIT, and Stanford are regularly ranked as the top schools for computer science and computer engineering. UIUC is probably the top public school for computer science.</p>
<p>CS curriculum varies a lot between schools. You can expect to take discrete math (consult google and wikipedia to find out what that is); some calculus, though it may not necessarily go past calc 2; some science courses, quite possibly with an emphasis on physics; programming courses; maybe some general engineering courses; and some project-based courses in particular areas (computational biology, artificial intelligence, databases, computer graphics, robotics, language translation, compliers).</p>
