How much math is involved in computer science? If I hate math would computer science be a bad major for me?

Since I'm not a computer science major, I'm just answering from my school's course catalog...

But at my school, you have to take a year of elementary discrete math and calculus for sure, and 2 other advanced math classes (beyond calculus). I'm not sure that's similar to other schools, though. I guess that's not too much math involved, but definitely there are some math involved in this major.

Ummm, yeah... CS is pretty math intensive. You might be interested in info. systems, info. tech., etc. One of the technology degrees about programming and web design. But avoid engineering / CS altogether, you'll be happier if you dislike math.
