I was recently accepted to UGA with the intended major of Computer Systems Engineering. After carefully researching, I've noticed more opportunities in the field of Computer Science as opposed to Computer Systems. My question is: Is there really a drastic difference in Computer Systems Engineering and Computer Science? I have researched and cannot find a specific difference, so would majoring in Computer Science instead be the wiser choice?

Any advice/comments are helpful.

In Computer Engineering you’ll work with hardware and software at the same time. An example of this is programming a microcontroller or a FPGA. Computer Engineers are masters of the cross between hardware and software and these skills are very high in demand. In Computer Engineering you can get into Electrical Engineering jobs (circuit design, digital system design, etc.) and computer science jobs as well. The majority of computer scientist would not be able to get into a Computer Engineering job. Both have great outlooks, pick the one you are most passionate about.
