On The Pomona Site It Says That A Computer Is Not Needed At Pomona (as In Not A Muuuuuust) Because There Are Many Computer Labs, And That Many Students Prefer Not To Deal With The Hastle Of Having Their Own Computer (because Of Theft) Does Anyone Know If It's A Good Idea For An International Student To Go To College Without A Laptop, And If Could Hinder Student Performance, Because My Son Is Constantly On It Whether He's Using Messenger Or Working Or Downloading Music And That Bugs Me.

i'm suprised you read that...i don't know anybody that doesn't have a computer in their room. of course it's not a MUST, but i feel like theft isn't a problem as long as you lock your door. i had a laptop but would still go to the library sometimes to concentrate more -- yes, it def. is possible to get distracted by a cimpu6ter in your room but i think the convenience of having your own far outweighs the possible distractions.,

D found having a laptop handy when there were rolling blackouts (infrequent but still annoying). At least she could still do work (as long as the battery is charged) or at least have time to save her work and shut down the laptop.
